I was excited to use this based on the reviews. However, it is completely useless due to a "server error."

I downloaded this app about 3 months ago and Im not able to do anything with it! (searches or downloading). "There maybe some issue on server side. Please try again after some time." This is the notification everything time I try to use it. So this app is pretty much just sitting there taking up my phones memory. Im deleting it in the very near future if nothing improves. Having the actual Project Gutenberg website saved on my home screen works great tho.

This app doesnt even work. Whenever I try to do anything it gives me an error message. Ive been trying to use it for two day. Complete waste of money. I want my dollar back.

I just get a message that says theres an "issue" with my internet connection. No issue with Chrome, however, which gets to Gutenberg just fine. Finished with this useless app.

All the selections give me an error that says their server is I reachable. I posted an error report right away and received a confirmation but no action has been taken. Now I have been billed and still cant use the App. Created my second problem report. Very unhappy!!!

Wow, I was looking forward to using this, but nothing works! Cannot search or anything, and error messages just keep appearing.

Its so cheap to ask users to rate this app 5 stars for free. Such a shame that developer is using cheap tricks to stay on top and charge for a app that never worked even once inspire of purchasing the pro version ! Shame on You !

It works well when it works. But lately I am receiving an automated response of a server problem. Hoping it will get fixed soon.

wish Id paid more attention to the bad reviews. get server error for everything. support doesnt respond. the web site is out of service.

Nothing but errors. Are these reviews fake? Seems like a hoax to me. :( was so excited now I am just disappointed.

Nice app, poor typographic settings, poor font size settings and selecting. Far behind iBooks, Kindle nd other reading apps.

The worst app to download. Not one book downloads before asking for money.

Ive used the Project Gutenberg website for years and it has worked wonderfully for me, so I was delighted when I saw this in AppsGoneFree. The app does what it says on the tin: gives you a way to download PDF-quality versions of your favorite classics for free. Notice the wording: PDF-quality. This is not an ebook app; rather, it is a way to download and organize books downloaded from Project Gutenberg (things tend to get cluttered in iBooks). My main complaint is that the search function doesnt work. There seems to be an ongoing issue with the Project Gutenberg servers in this regard. Other than that, the app serves its purpose.

This app is terrible! The search function finds books totally unrelated to the title or author I entered. A total waste of money and time.

latest update brought book star rating and summary. idk how more this can be improved
